AR Interactive Postcards for Recruiters
To attract top talent, the DD Studios team created an immersive Augmented Reality experience for recruiting events. This mobile-based solution featured image recognition and a customized hiring journey, bridging the printed informational postcards with dynamic digital media.
My role was to define the visual design, align with the client's existing brand, and develop the user interface for this experience, delivering a compelling first impression of the organization.
Role Expanded: Creative Direction, Visual Design, UI/UX, Print
I served as the senior graphics resource working in a small, 3-person team, driving the visual design, user interface (UI/UX), and creative direction for the mobile AR experience. My role involved close collaboration with the 3D modeler and Unity developer to translate the client’s vision into a memorable and intuitive product
Visual Direction: Developed mood boards and visual design briefs to establish the overall visual tone, color palette, and typographic treatment for the AR application.
Concept Approval: Created high-fidelity mock-ups and conceptual renders of key screens and overlays to secure vital stakeholder buy-in early in the development process.
UI/UX Implementation: Designed the core UI design system and all visual assets required for navigation, informational overlays, and integration with the camera view.
Print Production & Vendor Coordination: Created the final print-ready materials for the recruitment postcards, and coordinated with vendors for the initial production run.
Accessibility & Compliance: Built visual components with accessibility principles from the start, conducting testing to ensure Section 508 compliance for federal client standards.
Confidentiality Note: Projects for federal and sensitive clients may have confidentiality restrictions. If you encounter vague descriptions or obscured visuals, it is to ensure compliance with security protocols. Thank you for your understanding as you explore this work!
